Daytime Postpartum Doula
A bright, supported day at home — while you sleep, shower, and heal.
9 AM – 5 PM Coverage · Flexible Scheduling · Breastfeeding Coaching · Mom-Focused Recovery
Expert daytime care so you can rest, recover, and bond
Nights may be covered by your partner or family, but daytime is when the marathon really begins — feedings every two hours, visitor management, mom recovery, sibling care, and a thousand small questions. Our daytime postpartum doulas arrive in the morning and take the wheel: hands-on newborn care, breastfeeding coaching, nourishing meals, and a quiet, capable presence so you can sleep when baby sleeps, take a real shower, or simply step outside. By the time we leave in the evening, you have eaten, rested, and learned something new about your baby.
What's Included
Eight hours of dedicated daytime care from 9 AM to 5 PM, billed at $85 per hour. Your doula handles all daytime newborn care — feedings, diaper changes, soothing, safe nap routines — and coaches you through breastfeeding sessions whenever you want hands-on guidance. She prepares nourishing meals and recovery soups, performs light tidying related to mother and baby, and provides emotional check-ins throughout the day. Hours are flexible: extend to 10 or 12 hour days, or shorten to half-days as your recovery progresses.
Who It's For
Parents who have nights covered by a partner, family member, or overnight doula, but need expert hands during the day. Mothers recovering from C-section or difficult deliveries who need help with mobility, meals, and baby care. Families with older children who need daytime support balancing newborn care with sibling routines. Working partners who must return to work and need a trusted professional in the home during business hours. Anyone who recognizes that the daytime hours are when the real recovery work happens.
How It Works
Book by the hour with a four-hour minimum per shift. Most families choose three to five days per week during the first six to eight weeks postpartum. Your doula arrives at the agreed time, reviews the night with you, and takes over the day — feeding plans, baby care, meals, and breastfeeding coaching all integrated into a calm rhythm. If you need to step out for a postpartum checkup, a haircut, or a quiet walk, she stays with the baby. At the end of the shift, you get a clear written handoff. Hours can be adjusted week by week as your needs shift.
